Pareto Guide for newly admitted Master students

Hej everyone,

Congratulations on your admittance to the Master programme in Economics at Uppsala University. As the start of the semester is approaching with huge steps, we wanted to provide some, perhaps useful, information for you. The Pareto Guide for newly admitted Master students should cover some basic insights into the student and university life here in Uppsala. Upcoming Matlab Session on the 12th of May

Someone whispered in Pareto’s ear that fundamental knowledge in MATLAB is required for some courses next semester. Fear not, you non engineering people – Pareto is here to help economics students in need!

Next Friday, on the 12th of May, Pareto is organising a lecture covering the very basics of the MATLAB software. The lecture will last for 2 hours and include an introduction to programming concepts such at scripts, functions and objects. Then it will go into more details regarding MATLAB-specific functions, how to create variables and how to compute simple for- and if-loops.
